Honey feels like the beginning of an awakening. To me, this song represents a point in Esotus’s journey where being lost wasn’t necessarily the same thing as going the wrong way.

He wanders into the woods without direction. No service. No map. No real idea which way to turn. Then the world begins to change.

The trees glow.

A fox speaks.

A mysterious girl waits beside a lake.

And suddenly, being lost becomes the very thing that leads him somewhere deeper.

When I listen to Honey, I don’t see the fox as just a fox or the girl as simply another character. I see them as pieces of the subconscious—little fragments of the mind guiding Esotus toward something he hadn’t fully recognized in himself yet.

The girl even tells him:

“I am just a fragment of what is inside your inner mind.”

And I think that line matters.

Because sometimes the strangest parts of ourselves are the ones trying hardest to get our attention.

The dreams.

The symbols.

The coincidences.

The thoughts that keep returning.

Maybe Honey isn’t really about finding the way out of the forest.

Maybe it’s about what Esotus found while he was lost.

And from my side of his story, I think this was one of those moments where the path started becoming visible—even if neither of us completely understood where it was leading yet.
