Back On Track

(Vol. 1: Calling)

Esotus takes aim at honing his flow, more specifically, his free writing. At this point of the journey, he brings to life a unique style he calls "Flowetry", a combination of "flowing poetry" that leans toward the nature of spoken word and an alternative style of storytelling.

Beginning his studies in English and Psychology, Esotus starts to form a method to his madness, and these writings are a way of expressing what's locked inside, as well as a repetition of his studies, creating a therapeutic medium and a dynamic narrative to DreamScape DayDreams.

Welcome to Vol. 1!

Listening Made Easy:

“Back on Track” brings development into essence. Continuing to make two steps forward, one may see the path the footsteps precede. Looking into the outward world, sight may not mean seeing as hearing may not mean listening.

Songs and Their Stories:

1.) Artisan

In the beginning, there was an author. This author, this story, is the beginning of an unclear path that is filled with many questions and few precise answers.

Clenched to the chest is a piece of life, and writing is the way to make sense of the pieces found. Confused, conflicted, yet determined to uncover what rests below the surface, unsheathe the pen and begin again, and again, and again.

2.) Counter Balance

Wisdom comes from an aspect of awareness, long forgotten in this world of seeking. It’s up to the listeners, the artists, and the empathetic to shed light on this dormant memory.

Insight’s gleam pierces the veil that keeps together soil and stars. A balance is united, through the atmospheres’ transcendent arms. Pushing away, meets pulling to stay; until the arms hug without grip, and orbit in gravity’s peaceful embrace.

3.) Emphasize

With balance and moderation, much may be achieved. With practice and perseverance, mastery is attainable. Following the path of least resistance has its purpose. Mechanics in nature, from celestial to atomic, follow this narrative, like water flowing down a hillside.

Moderation is key. The act of enacting one’s will is what changes a free-flowing cascading stream into a lasting source of life. This enacting, the power of choice, and the freedom to choose…where would the stream find itself then?

4.) Harlem Trotter

The feelings that are invoked here, at the door, are curious. Curious as to what to do and where to go when moving forward. Interestingly enough, it’s here that one may see. Be courageous towards the future, and remember who you are.

5.) Just a Second

Time is limited, so spend time wisely. Yet time is money has rarely sat well inside this heart of might. Live like there isn’t going to be a tomorrow, sounds optimistically pessimistic, in a reckless doom-and-gloom mindset.

Time, maybe time isn’t a number to be spent, or a number to quantize as beginning to end. Maybe time, like many other keys and clues, is a mindset. Yet it is similar to a sensation; the difference between holding vs clutching, or to lose vs let go. What, if anything, happens to time when it stops being reduced to a set of digits? Curious, isn’t it?

6.) Let’s Rise

“What’s the strategy?”

”Like a phoenix, Rise!”

7.) So Pristine

Who knows? Maybe the question is the journey, and the answer is…

Who knows? Maybe it’s been inside the whole time.

8.) Chasm

In the mirror, what is seen? In the water, what is reflected? Is this the truth?

9.) 13th Constellation

Among the stars there were twelve, and then there was Ophiuchus. Is the light coming back?

Behind the Story

Being called to understand the human condition, Esotus began his studies in English and psychology, integrating the knowledge he gained into his works. Within his practice, he writes by free association, drawing on what he has learned and his sense of possibility, allowing the story to flow from the conscious stream.

Throughout the lyrical work in this volume, Esotus finds ways to express his struggles with isolation and mental illness through a creative outlet. His partner, Lohtus, is one of the catalysts who helps him find his voice.

Estous explores his unexplored self through these stories of the unconscious, allowing them to take root in his waking world, as the stories of DreamScape DayDreams.
